Everyone in the conscious community is well aware that meditation has tons of benefits ranging from lower blood pressure and creating a stronger immune system to improving moods and behaviors; but now we can chalk up yet another benefit of meditation.
Recent studies done by researchers from the Wake Forest School of Medicine have come to the conclusion that mindfulness meditation significantly reduces the number and duration of migraines as tested among 19 episodic migraine patients.
MIGRAINE MEDITATION RESEARCH
Ten patients were given eight weeks of mindfulness classes with instructions for adding personal meditation in-between sessions. The other nine received typical grade-A medicinal migraine care.
Those in the meditation group experienced with an average of 1.4 fewer migraines per month, which averaged nearly three hours less than the ones experienced by those in the control group. Pain levels of the headaches reported by those in the meditation group averaged 1.3 points lower on a scale of one to 10.

I am sure that I have suffered from migraines in the past, and that meditation has helped me transcend the episodes of pure-nauseating pain caused by migraines.
A clear head is a happy head!
